Pete Fisher became the Chief of Police for the City of Fife in March 2016, bringing with him more than 22 years of law enforcement experience. Prior to becoming the Chief, Pete was the Operations Lieutenant for the Bremerton Police Department. Earlier in his career, he was a Police Officer with the Metropolitan Park District Police Department of Tacoma.
Additionally, Chief Fisher has specialized as a Defensive Tactics Instructor, EVOC Instructor and Collision Reconstructionist. A New Hampshire native, Pete served four years in the United States Air Force before moving to the Puget Sound. He began his law enforcement career as a Reserve Officer for the Town of Ruston in 1994.
Chief Fisher received his Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He also holds two Graduate Certificates; one in Organizational Development and one in Law Enforcement Education. Pete is a graduate of the Northwest Law Enforcement Command College, as well as Session 247 of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy, and Session 67 of the Senior Management Institute for Police.
