Brookville Gardens Community Park, a former farm with a natural creek, was designed to honor the history of Fife and restore natural areas as well as create a place where families can enjoy time together in a friendly and welcoming environment. The park itself is designed to take advantage of the vistas of Mt. Rainier and takes cues from the history of the land for it’s buildings and landscape architecture.

The Park was named after the historic Fife fountain built in the early 1900s.
Local businesses and individuals, led by Mayor Mike Kelley, donated materials and labor and built the park on its 30,000 square-foot parcel. The project began in 1999 after the Fife City Council decided to cancel construction of a city-funded “civic square” at the same location.
Fountain Memorial Park also helps link Fife’s other civic buildings. These include Fife High School, Fife Aquatic Center, Fire Station, Fife Community Center and City Hall.
The park is beautifully landscaped with flower beds, trees, shrubs, and a large lawn area.

The City acquired this 15 acre site along Hylebos Creek through County and Federal grants. The property was developed as an important habitat restoration project. In addition to the grant from the Pierce County Conservation Futures Fund, additional funding was obtained from the Restoration Trustees through the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The City operates and maintain the Park with the help of volunteer groups. The site is a great addition to Fife’s growing Park system, providing our citizens a place to enjoy nature.
