Property may be retrieved by appointment only.
If the item is evidentiary it will not be released without a court order, either from Fife Municipal Court (misdemeanors), or Pierce County Superior Court (felonies). A copy of the court order indicating property may be released must be provided to the property/evidence office. If you do not have a copy you will need to obtain one from your assigned prosecutor.
If the item has been logged into the property room as safekeeping
, a letter will be sent to the listed owner within 1 or 2 working days requesting that the items be picked up. The items will be kept for a minimum of 60 days, after which they will be destroyed or otherwise disposed of.
The property room is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The number is 253-922-6633, ext. 6. If you reach us after hours, please leave a message with your name and phone number. It is our job to serve you, and we will return the call promptly.
