Property & Evidence

Retrieving Property

Property may be retrieved by appointment only.

If the item is evidentiary it will not be released without a court order, either from Fife Municipal Court (misdemeanors), or Pierce County Superior Court (felonies). A copy of the court order indicating property may be released must be provided to the property/evidence office. If you do not have a copy you will need to obtain one from your assigned prosecutor.

If the item has been logged into the property room as safekeeping, a letter will be sent to the listed owner within 1 or 2 working days requesting that the items be picked up. The items will be kept for a minimum of 60 days, after which they will be destroyed or otherwise disposed of.
