Pick Quick Drive-In- In 1949, Jay Adolph and Henriette Olsen opened the original Pick-Quick Drive-In in Fife, offering grilled burgers, fresh fries and creamy milkshakes. Today, the business still operates in its original location and is owned by The Burgis, another Fife family. Pick-Quick has remained in business for more than 60 years with a menu similar to the one that originally made them famous. Stop by for their famous marshmallow milkshake and burger. Fife Flowers & Gifts- This iconic Fife business is famiily owned an operated. Fife Flowers is known around town for beautiful displays, friendly staff, and community dedication. Fife Flowers often donates displays to local events and charities, beautifying events and offering displays as door-prizes. "Mike the Flower Guy" attends many community events in his trade mark green apron and always has the Fife community in mind. Larson Automotive Group- Larson Automotive Group took nearly nine-acres of I-5 frontage and artistically transformed them into Fife's largest car dealership. Three of the modern and eco-friendly buildings will serve as showrooms and a service department while one was constructed as a car wash and detail shop. The project provides 45,448 square feet of permeable paving, 53,005 square feet of drought tolerant native species, and preserved many of the existing plant life. Over 80,000 square feet of new commercial space and nearly 50 jobs were created by this project. Congratulations to Larson Automotive of Fife! They were named one of the Tacoma/Pierce County Economic Development Board’s “2012 Excellent Projects”!

Valet Detail- This month, Seattle-based auto shop Valet Detail opened its doors for the first time in Fife. Philip Morgan of the Fife branch hopes the community will take advantage of the professional, hassle-free detailing services provided using some of the industry’s top products. “We take a dirty car and make it shine in any way we can,” he said. Ratchet Solutions- Ratchet Solutions of Fife has created a revolutionary new surgical device that gives doctors a faster, more efficient option when installing medical screws. Fife Pierce County Library- The first library in Fife is under construction! The tasks completed include paving, a bus stop, and the load in of the library modular units. Upcoming work includes landscaping, book shelving, exterior signage, and computer stations. Stay tuned for the Grand Opening!

USPS Postal Annex- Carriers for three ZIP codes and 25 routes will now pick up their mail at the Fife annex near the Poodle Dog restaurant, instead of at the downtown Tacoma post office. Those 30 carriers deliver mail to 12,700 addresses for Fife, Browns Point and surrounding area. Fife and other residents served by carriers from the new annex will pick up certified and registered letters and mail held during vacations at the Fife facility at 1421 52nd Ave. E. There are no retail services in the leased space. The Fife annex serves ZIP codes 98421, 98422 and 98424.
