CITY MEETINGS

There are a number of different City Meetings which take place every month. Most of which are located at the City Hall Council Chambers. This page contains all city-wide meetings, as well as irregular, scheduled meetings. Please check back to this page regularly for any changes in scheduling that may take place.

Citizen Comments During Council Meetings
Citizens are welcome and encouraged to attend our Council meetings and provide input about issues, either verbally or in writing. If you wish to address a matter on the agenda, you will be given an opportunity to do so while Council is deliberating the agenda item.

If you wish to speak about something not on the agenda, you are welcome to do so at the beginning or end of the meeting when the Mayor calls for citizen comments about items not on the agenda.

If you wish to address council, please print your name on the sign-up sheet on the table by the entrance to the Council Chamber. When you address Council please state your name and indicate if you are a City resident or not. Please limit your comments to no more than five minutes.

City Council Meetings
City Council meets for regular Council Meetings every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers. Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend a Regular Council Meeting and make a difference in your community. All Council Meetings are televised, and can be viewed on Comcast Channel 22. Viewing times are as follows: Thursdays 8 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m., and 2 a.m. on Saturdays. The meetings are available for streaming from the website here. Click here to go to the Rainier Media Center schedule & website. Fife Council Meetings are now available through "On Demand" programming. On the screen, select "Get Local" then Northwest TV and Radion, then PCTV.

Council Study Sessions
Council Study Sessions take place on the 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 PM at City Hall in the Council Chambers. Study Sessions are issue specific working sessions and public participation is not typically allowed.

Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission meets the 2^nd Tuesday of each month at 1:00PM at the City Hall Council Chambers.

PRCS Advisory Board
The PRCS Board meets every first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at Fife City Hall. There will be no August Board Meeting. In September a meeting will be held on September 7th and September 28th with no October meeting.

Planning Commission
The Commission officially meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. However, special meetings may be called.

Tree Commission
The Tree Commission meets quarterly each year. In 2011 the meeting dates are as follows: March 2, July 6, September 28 and December 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., following the PRCS Board Meeting. The commission will work on evaluation, education and landscaping of trees within the City of Fife. This insures that Fife's trees improve the quality of life for its citizens and that the trees will be around for future generations to enjoy.
