Position 2 - Tim Curtis
Tim Curtis began his first term on the Fife City Council in January of 2012 and is council liaison to the Website Advisory Committee and alternate to the Pierce County Regional Council as well as the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Advisory Board.
As a resident of Fife's Sheffield Place since 2003, Tim is passionate about his city and committed to helping ensure a safe and thriving community. He believes in practical and perceptive planning for the city's future; careful oversight of, and financial accountability for all city operations; and the active involvement of citizens in order to bring about change and accomplish common goals.
Tim's approach includes working closely with City Staff to determine the best direction and priorities for the community with thoughtful consideration of both immediate and long-term outcomes. A particular interest of his is to make Fife a more desirable place for new businesses to break ground and flourish.
Elected Experience: President of Sheffield Place Homeowners Association
Professional Experience: Retired Regional Sales Manager, scientific instrument company.
Professional Expertise: Information Technology, marketing, sales, negotiations, contracts
Education: Tacoma Community College, University of Hawaii (studies in Math and Science)
Community Service: Kiwanis Club, YMCA youth basketball coach, musician for numerous community events.
