Councilmember, Position 6 - Dierdre Dukes-Gethers
Dee-Dee has been a resident of Fife's Saddle Creek community since June 2006. Along with her husband, Quinton, and their 2 girls, they have embraced Fife as their home. An advocate of creating a more accessible City of Fife, Dee-Dee's overarching goal is to develop infrastructure and opportunities that make it easy for residents to buy from and support local businesses. In addition to sustaining local enterprises, Dee-Dee supports a plan to continuously attract additional desired commercial establishments. With an eye toward economic development combined with a focus on quality of life issues, such as the enhancement of our parks and recreational facilities, Dee-Dee is committed to keeping Fife a great place to live and raise a family.
A member of the Fife Milton Edgewood Chamber of Commerce since 2009, she is currently serving as an Ex-Officio and was recently appointed as Council liaison to the Fife School District Board and the Pierce Transit Review Board. Engaged in her neighborhood, Dee-Dee is serving her third year on the Board of Directors for the Saddle Creek Home Owners Association. Dee-Dee and her family are active members of St. John Transformational Ministries in Tacoma, WA.
Professionally, Dee-Dee has over 20 years of experience in human resources, community relations and civic engagement; and has a degree in Marketing and Business Management.
Dee-Dee is passionate about serving the residents of Fife and invites others to volunteer and become more involved in community events and committees.
