Planning Commission

The seven-member Fife Planning Commission reviews staff proposals, holds public hearings, and submits recommendations to the City Council on amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, development plans, and area-wide zoning proposals and text amendments. Planning Commission appointments are made by the City Manager and confirmed by the City Council.

The following Fife citizens give their time and share their talents to serve as appointed members of the Planning Commission:

To be considered for an appointment to the Planning Commission, contact the City Manager's Office at 253-922-2489 for an application or download an application here. The FMC mandates that at least five members must be city residents; one member may be employed in the city of Fife; and one member may reside within the Fife urban growth area. Please inquire with the City Manager's office as to which seats may be vacant.

The Commission officially meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. However, special meetings may be called.
