Civil Service Commission

The Regular Meeting of Fife Civil Service Commission for March 12, 2012 at 1:00 PM has been cancelled due to lack of official business.

Civil service is charged with the recruitment, testing, hiring and promotion of all Fife Police Department employees under FMC 2.52

The City Manager appoints three citizens of the City of Fife to serve on the Civil Service Commission.  Each Commissioner serves a six year term without compensation and cannot hold any salaried public office or engage in City employment, other than the Commission duties during their term.  The Commission appoints a secretary/Chief Examiner, who attends all Commission meetings, maintains the minutes and records of the Commission and certifies the same when required, prepares and maintains a complete record of each examination for submittal to the Commission and performs all other functions as may be assigned by the Commission.
