Music
Classes once a week for 4 weeks includes Home Kits: Home CD and Magazine-style Family Guide, (includes the class story for the month and enrichment activities), and instrument every other month. Families are welcome!
All Classes take place on Thursdays.
Down on the Ground (Ages 1.5-3)
We will use a child's love of critters and outdoor things to talk about things that live, grow, scurry, and bounce around down on the ground. Children will sing, rhyme, gesture, and move to a variety of activities, while they explore the learning focus: "I love to observe the world around me. I can imitate sounds and movements."

On the Go (Ages 1.5-3)
We will get the children moving! They will use their locomotor skills and their active imaginations to drive in cars, chug along in trains, zoom and soar in planes, and bumpity-bump in buses. Its non-stop learning as we explore the learning focus: "I can move quickly and slowly. I have creative ideas." Instrument: train whistle.

Animals A-Dancing (Ages 1.5-3)
We will use the movements and sounds of frogs, elephants and pigs to emphasize this learning focus: "I can move my body in many different ways. My voice can make many different sounds." Get ready for lots of hopping, stomping, and rolling.

Private Piano & Guitar Classes (Ages 6 Y+)

Tiny Tigers (Ages 4-6)
Tiny Tigers is designed to establish a firm foundation in many basic academic and social skills. Our program consists of a number of units designed to teach preschool age children courtesy, respect, coordination, concentration, memory, social skills, and the basics of Taekwondo. A uniform cost of $20 will need to be paid to the instructor.

Beginning Taekwondo (Ages 6-12)
There are many reasons for kids to become involved in the Martial Arts. The program has been developed on traditional Taekwondo for kids ages 6-12 called Karate for Kids. The Karate for Kids system is based on a lifetime learning concept in addition to technical skills. The building blocks for the system are monthly themes such as: Goals, Friendship, Perseverance, Self Control
A uniform cost of $20 will need to be paid to the instructor.

Intermediate-Advanced Taekwondo (Ages 6-12)
Those students who have been advanced by the instructor to the next level of taekwondo can take this class.

Gymnastics (Ages 3-5)
This class will help with the development of
gross motor and social skills. This class will
offer a brief introduction to basic gym and
tumbling skills.

Indoor Toddler Play Park
(Ages 12M- 5Y)
This program is for parents and caregivers with their children, ages 1-5. Children enjoy small and large motor skill activities, art experiences, or group games. Planned activity every Tuesday at 10 a.m. Parents must be present to supervise their children at all times. No registration is required. Join us for a special Toddler Time on 4/3, the Easter Bunny will be visiting. Don't forget your camera.

Sports for Shorts (Ages 3-5)
Here is a great opportunity for your youngster to start their sports career off right. Sports for Shorts is a course that will teach warming up, stretching, dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive work. It's a great
opportunity to meet other kids in the area and have a great time! Parent Participation encouraged.

Programs & Special Events
Teen Scene (5th-7th Grades)
Daily activities include homework help, group games, sports, and art projects. We provide a fun and safe place for middle school students during after school hours, a positive interaction with caring adults, and encourage
and develop life skills, respect and positive social interaction. Registration forms are located at Surprise Lake MS Office and at Fife Community Center. 20 student limit. Financial Assistance is available on a sliding scale; please call 253-896-8656 for more information.

Break Camps (Ages 6-12)
The kids are off on a break... but you still have to work. The City of Fife Parks and Recreation will keep your child entertained and having fun. The camps are open to boys and girls K-7th grade. Kids will get to make crafts, play games and participate in activities. Please be sure to send your child with a lunch that does not need to be heated or chilled and a water bottle.
