Good Samaritan Mobile Health will be here to take your blood pressure, *check sugar, and *cholesterol levels, and provide general health information. For more information regarding this program please call 770-9279.

Foot Care
You must call to schedule an appointment, at 589-0391(you will most likely get an answering machine asking you to leave a detailed message – they will call you back). This service is provided by Catholic Community Services Long Term Care System at the Fife Community Center.. Bring a list of medications that you are taking and a towel.

Trips for Senior Adults

The Nutcracker
Come watch this wonderful Christmas repertory ballet by the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Follow along with Clara as she dreams about mice, princes, snowflakes, and far off magical lands. Dress up for the season and have fun with your friends at the Nutcracker. Seats are in the lower gallery. Must sign up by November 14th.

Lattin’s Country Cider Mill
Lattin’s Country Cider Mill & Farm is a small, family owned business since 1976. All their products are homemade from natural ingredients. At this mill & farm we will be experiencing a guided tour by the owner and tasting their award winning apple cider. Lunch at Olive Garden to follow (lunch is on you).

Explore Theatre
Travel with us as we go to the Little Tacoma Theatre to see a very funny play called, “Over the River and through the Woods.” Don’t miss out on an afternoon of laughter.

Chocolate On the Beach Festival
Attention Chocolate lovers!! There will be chocolate contests, free sampling from all vendors, Chocolate Baking Contests, Specialty Chocolate Shoppe, Wine and Chocolate pairing from local restaurants, Chocolate Fountain Buffets, and so much more.

Lunch Bunch
Join us as we travel to the Des Moines Activity Center for lunch and fun. This is a very new facility with a rose garden in the back. We will have the opportunity to meet new people, play mah jong and Mexican Trains, and have a yummy lunch.

Snoqualmie Falls & Cafe
Join us as we see an amazing 270 foot waterfall from an observation deck. Stroll through their gift shop, and around the park. Then enjoy some lunch at the Snoqualmie Falls Candy and Café. After lunch, watch candy being made while deciding which treat to indulge in.

Tulip Festival
Tour the gorgeous Tulip fields and then head to La Conner for lunch and shopping. On the way home we will stop by Deception Pass and drive down Whidbey Island before jumping on the Ferry back to Mukilteo.

Olympic Game Farm & Lunch
Take a ride with us to Sequim, WA to see over 20 exotic and non exotic animal species. You will sit comfortably in the vehicle as we drive through the park on the Olympic Game Farm’s famous Driving Tour. You might see a rare white rhinoceros, zebra, or a bear!

Theo Chocolate Factory Tour
If you have a sweet tooth, then this is the trip for you. Theo Chocolate is the only organic, fair trade, bean-to-be chocolate factory in the United States.

Chateau Ste. Michelle
Travel to Washington state’s oldest and most acclaimed, award-winning winery! Enjoy a guided tour and wine tasting. We’ll also stop at Molbak’s Nursery & Chantry Orchids.

Northwest Trek
Board a vintage train in Tacoma for a leisurely trip to and from Northwest Trek. On board, you’ll hear from expert naturalists and railway historians while the kids enjoy unique wildlife activities.This trip will include walking and also a 55 minute tram ride for better viewing of animals.

Fit in Fife- Ages 55+
Walk with your friends and family to health weekly. Learn, explore and educate yourself in this opportunity to discover many surrounding trails located near you!
Levels:
1. Paved areas, flat.
2. Partly paved with some moderate hills.
3. Not paved, few hills.
If the weather is bad, we will go head to one of our local malls. Please don’t forget proper walking shoes, water, and to dress for the weather.

Driver Safety Program
(Formerly "55 Alive") This is an AARP class designed for any age of driver (it is up to your insurance agent to recognize your certificate). Please call (253) 922-0900 to register and for dates of upcoming classes.   To find out about classes in general please call 591-5083 (you can find out about all of the current driving classes in Pierce County.) or go to the AARP  website for more information.

Rug Hooking
You will be provided with a traditional quilt pillow rug hooking kit. Each kit provides greater skillbuilding, by covering the topics of primitive rug hooking and hooking with fabric strips. Supply Fee: $30

Senior Antiquing Trip
Come spend a day as we travel to different antique shops from Tacoma to Auburn. We will shop ‘til we drop, have lunch & shop more.

Seniors Making Art: Sumi-E
Learn the beautiful oriental art of ink painting. By capturing the subject within just a few brush strokes you will have a masterpiece! You will learn the history and legends of this art form along with the four basic strokes.

Senior Line Dancing Class
Come dance the afternoon away! This class is designed for BEGINNERS who want to have some fun and get some exercise. Join Thelma as she takes you through the very basic steps of line dancing. This is a continuation class so please come every Tuesday.

Nutritionally balanced meals are served on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We
celebrate Birthdays on the 3rd Thursday of each month! Meal reservations are
appreciated one week in advance. You can call 253-922-8368 or 253-474-1200. Catholic Community Services provides the meal program.
