
Some of the more common reasons why applications for positions in the Civil Service are rejected are as follows:
- The application was received without an original signature (no copies of signatures allowed).
- The application was not received by the closing date and time.
- A resume was received without a completed application form.
- The application was for a position which there is no current listing. The Civil Service only accepts applications for positions that are listed.
- The application form submitted is not one used by The Civil Service.
- The position being applied for also requires submission of a complete Disclosure form which was not completed/ received with the application packet.
- The position being applied for also requires submission of a Supplemental Questionnaire form which was not completed/ received with the application packet.
- The application did not indicate which position was being applied for.
- The application indicated that multiple positions were being applied for. A separate application is required for each position being applied for.
